Summary: GlassTryOn does not sell your data. Your photos are used only to generate your try-on result and are not stored on our servers after processing. We collect minimal data required to provide the service.
1. Who We Are

2. Information We Collect
Photos You Upload
When you use the try-on feature, you upload a selfie and a glasses image. These photos are:
- Transmitted securely via HTTPS to our AI processing service (Kie.ai)
- Used solely to generate your virtual try-on result
- Not stored on our servers after processing is complete
- Not used to train AI models
- Not shared with third parties beyond what is necessary to generate your result
Account Information (Optional)
If you choose to sign in with Apple, we receive:
- A unique user identifier from Apple (anonymized by default)
- Your name and email address (only if you choose to share them with Apple Sign In)
You can use the app without signing in — a local anonymous session is created automatically.
Purchase Information
In-app purchases are processed entirely by Apple's App Store. We receive a transaction record from Apple confirming your purchase, but we never handle your payment information directly.
Usage Data
We may collect anonymized, aggregated usage data such as app crash reports and feature usage statistics to improve the app. This data cannot be used to identify you personally.
Push Notification Token
If you grant notification permission, we store your device's push notification token in our secure database (Supabase) to notify you when your generation is complete. This token is associated with your user ID and is deleted when you delete your account.
3. How We Use Your Information
- To provide the service: Process your photos and deliver your try-on results
- To manage your account: Track your photo balance, generation history, and purchases
- To send notifications: Notify you when your generation is complete (only if you opt in)
- To improve the app: Analyze anonymized usage patterns to fix bugs and add features
4. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal data. We share data only as follows:
Kie.ai (AI Processing)
Your uploaded photos are sent to Kie.ai's API to generate the try-on result. Kie.ai processes your images under their own privacy policy and does not retain your images after processing.
Supabase (Database & Backend)
We use Supabase to store your account data, photo balance, and generation history. Supabase is hosted on secure, SOC 2-compliant infrastructure.
Apple (Payments & Sign In)
Apple processes all payments and Sign In requests according to Apple's Privacy Policy.
Legal Requirements
We may disclose your information if required by law or to protect the rights and safety of our users.
5. Data Retention
- Photos: Not retained after processing
- Generated results: Stored in our database until you delete them or your account
- Account data: Retained while your account is active; deleted upon account deletion
- Purchase records: Retained for accounting and legal compliance purposes
6. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access: Request a copy of the data we hold about you
- Deletion: Delete your account and all associated data from within the app (Settings → Delete Account) or by contacting us
- Portability: Request your generation history in a portable format
- Correction: Update your account information

7. Children's Privacy
GlassTryOn is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately.

We implement industry-standard security measures including:
- HTTPS encryption for all data transmission
- Secure database storage with row-level security policies
- No storage of raw photos after processing
No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, but we take reasonable precautions to protect your data.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. For significant changes, we will notify you through the app. Your continued use of the app after changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
